Ripples in the water
(2019) This questions was a central piece of conversation in the GLOWlab what existed from multiple organizations student from Sintlucas Creative Technology, Smart Robot Solutions and Light festival GLOW Eindhoven. After multiple sessions the idea Ripples in the Water was unanimously chosen as Light Project for GLOW 2019.
In a room filled with light which emanates from a glass tank with water. The light reflections of the water fills the walls with different colors and shape. Two robots which are programmed with human movements make different shapes in the water what impacts the light reflections and the visual of the room. The movements the robots make are gather from one line drawings people made from feeling. The installation was a mediative light experience which tells a story about feeling empathy for a lifeless object. Robots as natural part of our society.
